Shelter Dogs

According to the SPCA, over three million dogs enter shelters annually, with nearly 700,000 dogs, or 23%, being euthanized. In my opinion, too many dogs are having their lives brought to an early end. Shelter dogs face numerous challenges to being adopted. They may be judged based on their breed, age, or disposition. In many cases, people view them as problem dogs and don’t want to deal with the uncertainty of their past. On top of those challenges, their lives are at the whim of a highly competitive pet market. My goal is to help these shelter dogs by capturing professional photographs of them and helping to tell their story online. I am extremely grateful to everyone who decides to rescue a shelter dog.

The dogs below are available for adoption at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society. If you are involved with a shelter that would like to partner with me, please get in touch with me.
